Fantastic experience! Lydia’s bamboo retreat, just a short walk to the center of town, was a fantastic retreat. I felt safe and secure in the apartment which was peaceful, quiet and restful, especially as a solo female traveler. Great WiFi as I worked remotely for the week. And I enjoyed the kitchen, walking around the neighborhood, going to LiveAqua for a drink and dinner. I took advantage of a Gua Sha facial with Lydia which was heart opening and amazing! Highly recommend for a couple or solo traveler! I’ll be back!
Lydia and her beautiful zen-like casita were amazing; a welcome refuge from the wonderfully upbeat, stimulating streets of San Miguel. We truly enjoyed coming 'home' to the comfortable bed and relaxed bamboo forest atmosphere after a day of adventures. The location is walkable - to all of the points of attraction. (Wear your sneakers because charming but uneven sidewalks and streets require some agility and patience). The kitchen had what we needed for simple meals, and the bathroom was filled with natural light. Lydia is a warm and positive person; one of the most welcoming and attentive hosts we have had.
This specific feels so welcoming, and sacred as well as you step inside. Not only is it spacious, clean, and inviting, but it’s located on the same block as Live Aqua, a stunning hotel. It’s walkable to other desired locations too, including a 10-13 minute walk to Centro. It feels like home, and although in the mix of it all, you’d never feel like it. Once you’re back inside, the dense amount of privacy is abundant.
Wonderful relaxing experience. Easily walkable to many places a local market, groceries, Paroquia, Aurora Fabrica, a stone's throw from Live Aqua. Lydia is a healer and her wellness approach I found to be quite calming. A great experience.

A pristine and peaceful space. You enter and feel as if you're passing through a cave, with parts of the underlying rock exposed within the casita entrance. As you walk further it opens up with soft light coming through the rear of the casita made entirely of sliding glass doors that open into a beautiful bamboo lush garden. The architecture is at the same time airy and light, yet grounded and connected to the earth. Cozy and yet spacious, with everything needed for a short or long term stay exploring SMA. An easy walk to the Live Aqua Hotel for Weddings, El Jardin the main square, Library, an Art school and Spanish school around the corner, many cafes, local market, shopping and restaurants.

Had amazing 5 night stay at Lydia’s casita! The casita is very well appointed and very peaceful and wonderful space to relax. The location is also great! Not too far to walk to the centre of town also very close to Live Aqua resort which both have a variety of bars and restaurants. Also went to two of Lydia’s Tai Chi classes which I really enjoyed and would highly recommend! Thanks for everything Lydia! Hasta luego!
Lydia is a great host. This is the second time in this beautiful place and we plan to go back. The accommodations are excelente. I highly recommend the place to anyone visiting San Miguel de Allende.
